What we do with your information, and where we stop.

A legal problem means handing over sensitive material. Here is exactly how that is handled, in plain language.

Where your data lives

Matter data and documents are stored and processed in Ireland or the EEA wherever technically and contractually available. Originals are kept as you uploaded them.

Your control

You can export your matter and delete it. Losing a subscription never blocks you from exporting your own data or reaching urgent safety information.

How we use AI

Generated output is labelled as generated, with the sources used and the date checked. We record the model and prompt behind every generated artefact so it can be audited and challenged. See the AI notice.

What we never do

We do not train models on your private matter data. We do not sell your data. We do not put your matter content into marketing tracking.

Human review

Published legal guidance carries a named Irish legal reviewer, its sources and an effective date. If it has not been reviewed, it is not published.

When rules change

We monitor official Irish sources, and matters are assessed against the rules that applied at the time of the events. Changes are logged in legal updates.

Being built in the open. DlíWise is pre-launch. The data-protection impact assessment, penetration test and independent legal-quality review named in our specification are in progress, not finished. This page will state the date each one completes rather than imply it already has.
